Sold for $115K.

First time I've heard of this company.

What does anybody know about them?? Not a lot of information on their website.

I was wondering too. I do know that if their builds are anything like ECR, then they took a big hit at the selling price.

from those pics the build looks pretty good. Too much bling for me, but to each his own. Seriously though $115k for a Defender!? It will still leak water, have shi**y ac/heat system, ride rough, have no elbow room, no leg room, etc. etc. What's the point?
Why not just buy an honest to goodness old truck for $20 to $40k it will probably be just as good. I know, again to each is own, but it just seems crazy.

More unique holds a premium in the buyer's eyes I'd suppose.

That what makes it a Defender!! $115K is a bargain for that truck. There's a seat for every ass.

Agree it is too "blingy" but that is a matter of opinion and taste.

The only thing I thought was a little weird looking was the paint on the frame. Look at the rear cross......they say it was "double" galvy dipped. Must've been painted over if that is true but that looks brushed on.

The engine and bay looks well sorted out.

Thought the layout of the seats was awesome with "captain's" in the middle.

I did that to my badge on the 110 right after I refinished it.

Now I do love the Defenders and have spent way too much money building the double cab in the garage, still not finished, but 115K?

I believe it, and ECR I am sure will chime in. If you do the work yourself you will of course save a ton of money, but when you rebuild a truck from ground up there is a significant labor cost in addition to the cost of "new" parts. As well all know, these are not cheap trucks.

sweet?

If that's a re VIN'd left over ROW 110 reassembled with new bolts and some doo dads it would make sense. If its built with all new parts someone is taking a flogging.

...........and I really want one of those re mapped ECU's for my 300's.........double dipped......

Bravo to them. They almost fooled me into thinking they restored a truck and didn't just bolt on some hideous extras to a VIN swapped rebuild. They even added some faux metal letters to the rear and claim it is a "limited edition". As far as I know, LR never made a piece of shit this ugly.

This truck was one of a batch of LHD ROW 300 tdi trucks released by Landrover 3 years ago. There was about 240 cars available. I bought 10 of these basic ROW trucks back then at a really good price, all got sold here locally in Europe. Foleys and Nene Overland still have some left. Someone in the UK has converted it to Fire and Ice spec but they did not fit the Puma hood.

The seller is nice guy called Mark, he is a photographer in Hiltonhead with a weak spot for exotic cars. I nearly bought an ex Boyd Coddington 550 spyder replica from him. He has also contacted me about some of my Defenders.

I really wonder how he got that car through customs. The metal Defender logo on the rear is from a SVX / Fire and Ice, the letters on the side are made by www.pidplates.com

Any questions, let me know.
