10K mile NAS 110

Nicest stock 110 I have seen in a LONG time back on the market (we sold it last Fall):

http://www.copleymotorcars.com/?show...der-110-220500

Its one I actually hope does not end up on Nantucket.

220/500 SALDH1289PA920130 - really not a bad price at $150,000. Weren't you guys asking $200k?

I started a thread on that truck last year when it was originally for sale for $95k and then eventually sent out to you guys.

We sold it for significantly less than its current asking price, but then the buyer did have us go through and fix just about everything. We used a lot of our NOS parts pile on that one.

Oh OK yeah it's hard to see what your stuff is for sale for when your prices are always $TBA and then never updated. Crazy it's going to have like 4 owners in a 12 month period.

I posted the "what do you think it is worth" as a way to generate a conversation on our Facebook page (you know, social media and all), not to find the starting price.

You really think I need help from friends on Facebook in pricing a 110?

Prices was as TBA because the owner of the 110 was thinking about what he wanted for it (consignment sale) so we did not know the sales price. He was deciding if he wanted to sell it "as is" or have us go through it and then sell it for more. Then customer X calls and offers X "as is" even before we price it, and when we offer that to the seller he says, "Sold".
Done deal.

We don't post what the sold prices were because that is no ones business, but since this truck is out of the hands of that owner now, the selling price was $115K.

Still looks awesome. If I had 150K I would buy it and build a showroom here at the shop.

I've always assumed you've come up with your asking prices the same way you generate invoices........just take the appropriate number....and double it.

Speech therapy for that stutter and anger management sessions don't pay for themselves, right?!

Knowing that 110 inside and out I sent 3 people to you on it today. IMO its worth every penny of $150K, especially with 90s now selling commonly for 70K and some going into the 100K range.

... but I still hope it doesn't end up on the island of Defender death.

And no I wasn't saying I expected you to update your listings with a *SOLD* price it's just annoying for some of us who track these things, when so often your listings go from $TBA to $SOLD with no asking price ever published. Used to see it on your FB when I'd look too - you'd say something was coming up for sale and then people would ask how much you were asking and then there'd never be an update except for "truck is heading off to its new owner in Nantucket"...

Sorry, no speech impediments or therapy here (other than physical therapy for my back)

Yup, our time sheets and parts list and an office manager that keeps her thumb on everything in the shop means invoices are just a guess. Thats why we have happy customers and all this work to do. Please Jack-hole.

Jackie-Treehorn claims in past posts to be an ECR customer. I sure would like to know his/her real name to see if they actually were a customer. Because if he/she was an unhappy customer I was never made aware of any of the issues.

When a 90 is coming in we do a little "pre-hype" (we are selling cars remember). Then people email in asking for the price. When the price does get set we send an email out to everyone that expressed interest in the truck. One of them usually buys it before I can even update the web site. If not, then the price goes up, just like on the Green POE and the White ST recently. Those took a little longer to sell so I had time to post the prices.

It isn't a plot. Its the way thing sell.

Eh it just seems like it would take just as long to respond to one e-mail as it would to update a single post on your FB to let all who had inquired there know what's up. Posting a price just seems like a lot less effort for everyone, instead of having 50 people e-mail you asking for it, and then having to e-mail 50 people back?

Does anyone know if the truck that sold on eBay Monday for around 40k was indeed a '93 NAS?
It was listed as a '93 but not as a NAS...

Never made aware of issues? Now I'm belly-laughing at my desk. Classic!
One thing about burning bridges and crossing people, it's hard to function without inevitable blowback. Though, I suppose if you live in your own world....one where you are creator, king and the only deity I suppose it's easier.

Good, I'm glad you forgot about me. I don't need you calling up JLRNA, EPA or some other G'vmnt agency to rat me out over having a TDCi

Glad you're active on the forum again (sincerely) though. Without ECR's contributions I just don't know how anyone would ever restore a Defender properly.

Alright, let me stop there for the sake of this thread and just plain decency. This particular topic has been exhausted and I don't have the time for a pissing match.
You win Mike, your'e the best at what you do. Let's just leave it at that.

No, the emails come in before it is priced. 90s come in, then we have to work on them, then we total the repairs and such. Then we send out the email to those who inquired.

Yes, I pre-hype trucks for sale (before they are priced) as I want them to sell as quickly as possible.

We do not do the "please call" thing. If we know the price, we post it up.

If a customer is/was unhappy, I do my best to make it right. Unhappy customers are not things we have (or want to have, ever). In the 20 years we have been doing this there have only been 3 and those were way back in the Series truck days where I just couldn't make the customers happy no matter what I did.
Without a name (just PM me if you like, it doesn't need to be public) it is not real. Could be just someone making up stories. We don't have as many customers as some you all think we do. Its a small family we work with/for and I have no idea who his person is, or what his/her gripe is.

Are you on the app or on your computer? Most of us have pics of our trucks in our registries...
