YRM Metal Sills

Small upgrade this weekend to the front door sills. I think Barry suggested these door sills a year or so ago. I ordered a set from YRM and I just got around to installing them. I like the stainless look.

I also found a source for a 5 bar tread pattern rubber mat and cut to fit the floorboard and stuck Dynamat and Dynaliner to the back. It came out better than I had hoped. Seems to really cut down on the heat transfer from the exhaust.

Looks Good!
Where did you source the 5-bar mat and approx what was the cost?
Thanks,

Thanks for the site, it should be useful for other projects also.

How well does the mat plus the backings conform to the upward bend on the floor?

Thanks,
Mike

You don't want that. It was on the Tommy Hilfiger 110 if you ever saw that truck for sale.

No issues. Fits fine and conforms well. Initially I thought the rubber mat was a little thinner than I had hoped at only 2-mm. However, its very flexible. I added the dynamat to the back and then a 1/4 thick layer of dynalyner (this is a close cell foam). The heat and acoustic absorption is great and all fits well.

Thanks for the feedback, it sounds like a worthwhile project. The D90 isn't too bad but the 110 will roast your feet.

Have you tried it in the load space area?

Would like to see how well it handles the sharp corners.
