Thumbs up weekend project

85 110, 300tdi, LT77, 1.6 LT230
1 ton axles, already set up for rover suspension (Eaton rear, D60 Front)
5 inch radius arms and rear links
37in BFG MT
custom driveshafts
1 weekend.

We still have a couple of small details to finish up but overall a very nice upgrade to a nice truck. By the way his truck is for sale by Aluminum Classics (www.aluclassics.com) and will be at MAR if you would like to check it out...

The plan is to put them back on, once we see what the suspension travel is going to do with the tires. But it looks kinda cool without them.

This 110 has been painted, its closer I think to BMW M3 blue than stratos blue. Chuck don't you already have half doors that need paint??

Anyway, the project is more or less on hold a few days while my counterpart is out of town but I think we have discovered how much we need to trim off the back of the wheel openings.

There is a salsbury rear and a pickup cab left over that might be up for grabs, if anyone is interested they should contact Chuck (buyrovers) and let him know.

I do have a set of half doors but I'm a sucker for them so I will always take another set. The paint is a valid point that I overlooked. As for the salisbury rear and truck cab, they will both indeed be for sale and can deliver to MAR.

Now that we put the soft top on, there is nowhere for the shoulder belts to mount. Any suggestions?

Internal cage laid out like the hoopset. Belt tab on the cage. Put it on our bill.

Marc, I'm looking for some cage hoops to mimic the hoop shape as you have done on your 88. Have you got someone you can recommend?

Roll Cage

Hi Cabell,
Any competent welder can do it if you bring him a hoopset to measure. If I was doing it down here, I would ask Jordan (of RoverTym fame). Not sure it would be worth it for you to have it done here and figure out shipping/pickup, but I have a 88" and a 110 hoopset he can measure if you want to have him do the work down here. What truck are you having it made for? Your 110?

Doug - thanks for the referral. Always happy to buy you beer(s). See you at MAR.
