I think I have a couple more brackets left. I'll take a look. I'm not sure if that one fits. Mine is a Thermo Top C. I think there was a great bulk offer posted here somewhere but you'd have to get together and do a group purchase.

Aren't they one in the same? TSL 17 and Thermotop C?

Where did you find an under wing-mounted tank? Is this a special tank, or just a tank re-located?

Sorry I'm being so needy, trying to wrap up several projects before winter hits in New England.

It's a special tank in that it's a TD5 tank do unless you have a TD5 you're going to have to order one. You will also need to order the pumps and wiring harness connectors.

I would be interested in knowing if anyone has wired the remote unit for the webasto into their fan unit in the cab, to pre-warm your vehicle. I have C top in my RRC and the remote, but haven't figured that one out yet. Have the on/off switch uner the hood for now, and last winter just turned it on manually to pre-heat...

I have. There is a signal that comes from the Webasto to turn the interior fan on when the coolant temperature is warm enough. This signal needs to control a relay that goes into the power feed to the fan. The normal switched power supply to the NC position and constant power to the NO position with the the output to the fan.

I am at work now, so not looking at the electrical schematic, but sounds like the signal device is wired into the fan's power supply?

So you wired a defender or RRC?

A defender but it has a different heater than stock. It should not matter. You need to tie into the power supply and understand the specific vehicle wiring in order to do it correctly.

If it is power switched like most you ned to et at the power feed before the switch. If it is ground switched like a defender you need to power supply to the motor.

It is important to not only add power. You must break the power feed and run it through the relay. Otherwise you will back feed all of the other switched power items.

Reviving this thread

I got an inquiry about these brackets this week. I found 4 prototype brackets that I can sell at a discount. They're unfinished, a little thicker than the final version and the holes on the far left and right needs to be drilled out slightly to fit the washer bottle bracket bolts. $30 each, shipped. The final version sold for $40 each.

Invoice sent, Mark. Thanks!

2 left.

Here's a closer look. The center holes (for the Webasto) are in the right place but may have to be drilled out slightly. The holes that hold the bracket to the washer bottle bracket needs to move in about 2-3mm as per picture. You may be able to get away just filing them.
