Tow hitch drop plate

I my new tires were just too big clear my Pintle hitch. So I needed to drop it down a hair but that meant two of the bolts would be below the cross member

So. Not a very involved project. Some 1/2" plate some grade 8 hardware. Some 1/4" flat bar for backing plates.....you get the idea. $20 in material and 20 bucks to my local welder to plasma cut the 1/2" plate for me, some rattle can and here ya go. Works for me! No more tire in the cab!

Looks great! And the pintel is still pretty far up - a ton of clearance compared to where an NAS bumper would be.

Need to swing by and see all the new mods you've done. Must be looking good!

I've asked him for an updated pic of the truck overall since he did the wheels/tires and still haven't seen it!

Patience patience. Just need a min to wipe it down with some retailer and hide the tree striping. I'll get pics this week.

I am not feeling sorry for you - you were down for a surprise party and right down the road from us - could have seen Adrians rig in person! Next time give one of us a holler. I am always busy but could meet up for a mtb ride, some surf and beach, and/or a beer. Or even swing by the house for some Rover talk and some practice time on the TIG torch. And always beer, wine, and booze in the fridges
