Third brake lamp?? Suggestions needed!

Hi all,

Need suggestions (with photos preferably!) of what to use for third brake lamp.
Truck is a 110 with the spare tire on swing gate behind fifth door.
Options are:
- Gadget that mounts behind spare tire
- Gadget that mounts above license plate
- Gadget that mounts on the top of the fifth door
Any others that people find cool?
Please help... we are out of ideas *truck remodel exhaustion kicking in*

3rd Brake Light

I used a Truck-Lite trailer lamp, has both running & brake lamp LED's in it.
I only wired in the brake lights. It's been in since 2000 and all the LED's still light up.
Cut a hole in the metal with a hand nibbler & JB Welded it in.
On the outside I used black silicon sealant to keep the weather out.
Also moved the washer over to the left slightly.

I used a rear window mount led one from Ron Francis Wiring. Discrete, bright and no cutting required. The small wiring is easy to hide in the window channel under the trim pieces making for a tidy install.

Thank you both. I would prefer no cutting. Having said that I do like the look on Viton's truck!

Me too, but I don't like cutting either.

That's my favorite part of the freeloader!

Cheap and great solution. And it does say "Land Rover," so noobs won't notice that anything is amiss!

I plan to use a surface mout low profile. Similar to this, but probably not as wide. https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...-tlb-r11/1027/

Love the freelancer idea. Looks cool. Where would you mount it in the 110 though

Didn't you say you had a rear spare carrier? Mount it "freelancer style," around the tire.

I think the spare on the 110 may be way too big. I'll try. Otherwise I may mount it inside the rear door...

I did one for a 90. Figured with client driving around Boston all the time would help out. I'll try and dig up a picture.
