Suggestions for best colour to resell an exmod

I have a 1987 RHD Exmod 110 hardtop west coast USA. FFR gear has been removed. I soda blasted the truck down to the original aluminium skins. Good bulkhead and frame and other bits usually rotted like doors are fine. Waxoyled. The truck is currently in a primer black with some items removed for painting. I plan to address the worst dents and am mounting 5-bar plate on the back door (easier than repairing the door skin) and then reattaching the shovel and pick axe handle mounts. Rhino lined interior floors, footwells and side doors. The truck looks kinda wicked in its current format. Soon I will want to apply the final paint though.

I may end up leaving the exmod black for final paint choice. Other options I've considered are some sort of military green (not my favourite though) or maybe a desert tan or white. I considered silver, something like the Zambezi, but heard silver just doesn't hold up over time. I want to eventually sell this truck, and am asking the Rover community their perspectives on a logical paint colour choice for easiest resale of the truck. Sorry, no pics attached yet.

Sand/Black schemes look tits on ex-mod rigs.

Thanks Scott, a great idea. I never thought of that. Do you mean something like main body in black with tan wheel brows, bumpers and such?

I would go the other way around with a tan truck and black bumper, rims, wheel brows, etc.

That would be scary like those Eddie Bauer edition Explorers.

Quite right, and I really meant to say most everything tan with black accents. But I wasn't thinking when I wrote the email. This is normal. Proof is I have a 95 Disco and two 87 110s.

For the record, for lesser (but admittedly leak less oil) vehicles like the Ford Eddie Bauer package, I did always like the tan and forest green (or whatever it is) combo. But it would be for me too city slicker (a.k.a. mall crawler) or 'Subaru' like on a Defender product.

I hope you aren't talking about something like this. this is a better example of how to get the worst possible resale.

Land Rover Defender CSW | eBay

I agree the tan with a few black accents is the great combination on an exMoD. Maybe in a matte finish to boot.
