Series III 88 Chevrolet Engine rebuild saga: A photographic thread

So my buddy who's on the forum, Maximal has this basketcase Series truck. The engine (Chevrolet 250) POURED oil out of everywhere. So he asked if I would "reseal" it for him. Just like all good simple projects, as soon as the engine came out, I saw how deep the rabbithole was... 8 months later, and I drove the truck again for the first time today!

Max:

Spent some time sailing this summer...

Took a break to work on my Audi for a local show...

Engine back IN!!!!

Chiller technician fuel line...

New information!

Runs with no exhaust...

Worlds worst exhaust connection

Worlds worst exhaust cob-job

My poor Old Man who let me do all this work in his garage and let me park in in the yard for 8 months. Not even excited that I drove it into the garage finally. LOL

First trip to Stewart's! Made it!!

Thanks fellas. I'm going to try to post a video of it in the woods before I deliver it back to Max.

EXACTLY.

For those not in the know: I smashed the right hand side of the truck on a tree last year with Max in the passenger seat.

Put about 20 miles on it around town. The engine runs strong!
