Talking to the guys at HH tonight I realized I never posted pics of my trip a few weeks back. Here is a picture of the tent deployed, and a few more in my gallery

Yeah used the tent heater. The eezi-awn is so thick and has less vents so we were actually hot!

Almost ready for a galvy run. Main thing is the sliders, but also need to finish the hinge arrangement for the top and cap off the roof rack mounts before I'm ready. Oh, then I need to have a weekend of hell sandblasting.

On the topic of galvanizing, is it safe to assume the zinc will melt any rivet heads stuck in tubing? Say about 50 of them? Or am I going to have to get those out first?

Most galvanizers won't take it if they can see them. It dilutes the zinc bathes.

You can't see them but you can hear them rolling around in it. I guess I'll make an attempt to get them out.

Say it aint so. Bought the lwb if you want the bling rims. Like to trade for an lt230 rebuild- my 1.4 blew on Mass Pike 4pm Wed. Limped home last night with a 1.22. Took all day yesterday to swap them out in a parking lot.

I finally got around to fitting the tire carrier. Sadly I miss the naked rear end look already...

What are you going to do about the extra tail light holes ? are they taped up on the inside ? just thinking water and dust ingress

I have replacement panels for both sides. No point changing them until I am done with the build. I just did rev 2 of the roof lift supports and if I end up doing a rev 3 I'll just be making holes in the new end panel. I'll swap them when I dismatle for galvy, and put the tag where it belongs etc.

Looking good, Charles.

Do all non-commercial trailers in VA get permanent registration? (I'm assuming 'permanent trailer' on the plate means pay registration fees one time and you're done?) If so, that must be nice.
Wish we had that in CA...

Probably. I never imagined it would take this long. But I'm going for the world's slowest fabricator award now!

Yes I think so. In fact I'm not sure if you can have it any other way.
