Replacing Cowl and Instrument Panel

Need to replace mine due to multiple breaks and missing screws. Is is safe to assume that buying a cowl from Rovers North et al. will result in only receiving the cowl and none of the screws, washers, etc.? Do I need to source everything individually?

Ask for Zack when you call Rovers North. He will take care of everything you need. Big bits, little bits as long as it's not Santana bits your good.

I wouldn't waste my time with a plastic one. The metal one that Raptor Engineering is so much better and will last you a lot longer.

I like the look of that stuff. What about the end cap fascia around the levers? I guess you keep that as the plastic piece to match the rest of the dash?

The raptor engineering product is 100x better than the crappy plastic stock piece, one of the best upgrades I've done to the interior

Yes, you have to reuse the end cap around the levers. It's not ideal, but Raptor has not made those yet. I will see the owners of Raptor Engineering at the Peterborough Land Rover show in a few weeks, I will ask them if they plan to make those or not.

just looked at Raptor's website... the binnacle is 37UKP... So, works out to be ~$50USD.
It's not as expensive as I would have thought. Wonder how much to ship to US.

There some on ebay if you want to deal with ULC.

Have you tried SafariHP or Lucky8? I got mine from Safari

Make sure you order the binnacle mount as well. Most are broken. Also, get the stainless Allen screws. The black steel ones rust after 2-3 months.

I just recently installed the Safari HP. I chose them over the Raptor because it was cheaper, lighter weight (aluminum) but still strong, and made in USA. Very nice piece, install took about 1.5 hours taking my time with basic hand tools. Definitely remove the gauge cluster completely to give yourself room to work. Great opportunity to install gauges at this time as well. I reused the original hardware with no problems. This is one of those parts you don't want to spend $100 on, but once it is in, you will be very pleased. The old one was cracked and such junk. I don't feel like I am about to rip my dash off when I go to adjust the vent/heater controls anymore.
