Renovating and removing rust

So after a year of threatening, I am finally taking on getting rid of the rusty footwells and other spots on my truck.

Bought a good condition bulkhead from SafariHP in Orlando. Had it fixed up, welded a new footwell into the driver side, painted with a rust resistant paint and then clear coat painted for installation. Now going to take the truck and bulkhead back to SafariHP to install, then back to the body shop for for tub cappings, new front door shells, floor boards, and newer style grill mount.

Will update after next step.

Spray the bottom sides on the outside of the lower footwells with undercoating. Fill all the cavities with waxoyl.

Or just galvanize it ....

That's what the body shop did, sprayed it with a potency ice coating. In the pic that is the black portion and is on the inside and outside portion of footwell. It is sealed up nice! Not sure if it is the brand waxoyl but it is same style product.

I am wanting to put sound deadening material on inside and outside of the bulkhead to quite it down a bit and block some heat. Any recommendations on where not to put it?

The interior mat systems seem to work well exmoor etc many sell them. Not sure I would put anything in the engine bay.

I took the opposite approach and junked all the mats and stuff as they trap water and cause rust, but once I get my galvy bulkhead in I am ponying up for a nice mat set up.
