Propane tank mount

Having switched to propane for most of my camping needs, I wanted a tank mount like you find from Front Runner, Hannibal and other South African equippers. Unfortunately, they all work only with the European style tanks. I decided, while in Iraq learning to weld with my buddy, to make one for myself, that fits a US 10lb tank. Finally got it all mounted up this weekend and strap in place.

It uses a McMaster locking clamp that fits a padlock and adjusts for tension. The strap is 1.25" pallet strap.

Nice! What's a source for the strap? I need to do something similar for my trailer at some point.

Not sure. I got it from our fab shop scrapyard in Iraq. Since it's palletizing strap, you may want to check pallet suppliers. 4 ft was more than I needed.

If you are using it on a trailer, than I would go to Adventure Trailers, as they have a mount for that tank that is bolt on ready. I had to go custom for this configuration.
