I tried. Started off with sanding the whole thing with 220 inside and out. Still has the grainy texture. Removed all seals and weather stripping. Scrubbed it with acetone. Bought some high end fiberglass paint and tried to paint a section with a roller. But after mixing the hardener in the paint, it was drying to fast for how slow I was going. I ended up taking it down the street and they sprayed it. Turned out great. Bought new topper tape for the seals and new sw door seals. Fits well with no leaks. Believe it or not we have had alot of rain out here lately.
All new hardware: Stainless, used collared washers with rubber fender washer on bottom and Stainless fender washer on top. Used rubber washers on top edge as well.
I saw Brent's truck in Westwood yesterday. (magazine shop). The top looks good.
Brent I sent you an email. I have a couple questions for you.
