little custom rubber matting project

I had a little fun with this project yesterday. When I imported this truck it was covered in dynamat which is both a blessing and a curse. While it is a lot quieter, it also looks like crap and is impossible to work with once installed. Yesterday I was able to put together a low cost solution. Autozone sells a diamond plate style rubber mat is a roll. I took out the seats and created my own custom rubber floor matting. total cost was about $50 and an afternoon of my time. It was really easy to do, just required some patience and lots of cuts and test fits. I anchored it will double sided tape and the rear bench seat brackets. I am pleased with the before and after results.

Aren't you afraid of trapping water?

a little. I need to see how much pools on top vs. getting under the matts. It is easily pulled bak to check.

Looks very well done. Much more finished looking than the dynamat alone. I don't think the rubber would trap anymore water than the fully adhesive dynamat would repel.

I picked up matting to do the whole rear section. Will post pics to this thread when I can actually find the time to get that done.

Thank you for posting this and the source for the roll.

Do you recall the dimensions of the roll that Autozone sells ?
