Lewb back in the game...

Well, it broke on Christmas Day, and yesterday it came off the jackstands. See how damn slow I am? My excuse is that I bought a second truck and got that on the road (see Final tweaks to the RRC SWB thread), was working in my driveway on what's basically gravel held together with tar, it was cold, and I still have the daily grind to deal with which included having work done on the Bay house. Oh yeah, then there's the elder care thing for my pop....

It ended up being a zero buck fix, if you take away the gas, time and the few new pop rivets I used to put the tunnel cover back in place. And grease, and lubes/fluids.
Transmission and transfer case came from the "something rusting in the grass" I wound up using the engine crane to lift the trans up thru the tunnel hole with a chain around it. I don't know how I did it but I found the right balance point so that it went into place without too much fuss. Once the engine was mated up it was all just completing the hook ups, which took several more evenings worth of work.

I also found that plastic model cement makes a fair repair on the center console top cross piece, y'know, the one that is busted on virtually every RRC ever made. Just don't lean on it.

Yup, BW for now until I get my act together and put in the 4.6. That will have a ZF with an LT230 behind it. I'm definitely doing that job in the barn! Gas will be 8 bucks a gallon by then so a run to Kilroys and back will cost me 30 clams.

LOL, when I saw that, my first thought was "move the dumpster and you'll have a nice work area".
