leaf spring to coil spring conversion

Anyone undertake this kind of project on a defender? If so how would one deal with welding perches on a galvanized frame?
Do they make kits for this type of conversion?

Sorry, I meant santana. Dont have to truck yet, thinking about buying it though. I have a defender in Spain and it has coil springs which re a nicer ride. Was wondering if anyone undertook converting a leaf to coil.

you can cut and weld to a galvanized frame (with great difficulty), and doing such will render the coating completely useless. By the time you factor in obtaining all the brackets, cutting, measuring, remeasuring, welding, and getting regalvanized, you would be better off sourcing an entirely separate frame already set up for coil springs.
It can be done though, here is an example of a truck thats in the process of being converted to coils: 70 IIa 88 coiler V8 project
