Latest Puma Dash Upgrade

This is the 12th one that we've done since July, so we are starting to get the hang of it now...

One good thing about doing a Td5 swap is that the switches will slot straight into the Puma centre console, so a lot less wiring is required. Makes it easier as long as the switch rockers are not completely worn out.

Had to adapt the central panel to incorporate our own heater controls and the bigger Double-Din head unit.

We did this one with red detailing, which came out OK I think.

We still have to goose-neck the gear stick to make it work, but we're going to offer a Discovery 1 gearbox swap as part of the Puma upgrade next year as the shifter is further back.

Nicely done (even if my personal opinion is the red accents belong on a 1989 Civic driven by a dude with a flat brim hat and neck tattoos). Maybe this look is just gaining popularity in UK.

I usually like your work.

Where did the clock in center panel go?

It was the owners choice to go with the red detailing, I just think that it came out OK.

I have to be honest and say that I've never come across anyone driving a Honda Civic with a flat brimmed hat and neck tattoos. That's a very specific cultural stereotype that clearly never gained popularity in the UK. I don't even know where to start with that one....

Clock is in the main instrument cluster.

Cubby box came already fitted. No ideas what its origin is.

From what I’m told, the Ashcroft console needs to be trimmed to fit up against the Puma dash.
