Installing defender brush guard

Hi -

I'm in the final stages of a 1984 RHD D90 build, and I have to put on the brush guard (OEM). Does anyone have any specific instructions on how to do this, and the hardware necessary? It would be greatly appreciated!

No winch, just standard brush guard. Picture attached.

Look down the frame horn holes to see if there are nut plates in there.

OK. I'll do that when the truck arrives tomorrow. I'm assuming if they're not there, I'll need nut plates. Correct?

Sure...and after you've cussed them and your fat fingers for not fitting in that teeny slot to get the bolts started, just tape the blasted things in place.

Starting the bolts is a snap when the plates aren't slipping out alignment when you try to fit everything together.

These are the nut plates I used: http://www.safarihp.com/alq710020.html

Looks like the OEM brush guard mounts directly to the front bumper as well.

Awesome. Now only if they were in stock! Rovers North wants $30 for the same part!

Wow that's a fancier piece than I've got. Mine is just a bit of mild steel with two threaded holes?!

These are obviously the "right" parts, but wouldn't some solid washers and lock nuts do the same thing without having to cost $30 a part or be shipped from the UK?
