Fixed the Fender/Hood Gap

I couldn't stand the fender/hood gap on the D90. There didn't really seem to be an adjustment for it. I looked at the hood spring and noticed it was fully compressed.

Here's how I fixed it
  • I adjusted the bumpers up
  • clearanced the latch where the underside of the hood hit
  • clearanced safety latch where it hit the top plate
  • cut 2 full coils out of spring
  • Perfect...

I thought that gap was part of the intake/cooling system? Lol

Looks great. Thanks for the tutorial. I too need to get to it someday!

I've found 3 ways to quiet down the engine:

-open the windows
-turn up the radio
-turn the key to the "off" position
