European 7 Round Plug... where to buy?

Do you guys know where I can get just the plug? I have the wire and the 4-flat end, just need the plug that plugs into the defender receptacle.

Trailer Wiring Adapter: 7 Way Euro Round To Flat 4 Conversion Plug

I checked with Zack and he said RN doesn't carry it. And most places look like they carry it, but it's really not the European round. Otherwise, I'll just break down and pay the ridiculous AB rate especially since I only need the plug.

The older threads on here that cover this point to stock that no longer exists...

You need more than a plug. There are diodes in that adapter. European trailers have separate circuits and North American trailer use a single wire for turn signals and brakes. Without a diode, the power will back feed and mess up the vehicle lights.

North American trailers.

European Trailers. you need to join the brake wire to the indicator wires with two diodes rated for the draw of the lights.

John thanks for posting this, very helpful, I really appreciate it.

I've got some diodes laying around which I'm sure will cover the draw.

Now if I could just find that plug...

12N 7 Pin Replacement Plastic Trailer Caravan Truck Towing Electrics Plug 12V | eBay

You don't have to use that vendor, just a representative link of what to buy. You need a 12N plug.

I've built these for 2 Disco 2's and 2 Defenders, for both flat-4 and flat-5. Easy afternoon rainy day project with the diagrams.

Even though I have the diagrams, every time I wind up using a voltmeter on the vehicle plug to verify.

I've never put in any diodes and never had issues, but I also built and wired my own trailers. Pulling a reverse light signal for trailer brakes is fun. On my defender I just used the rear fog light and had to remember to turn on the fog lights when backing up my boat.
