Diamond Plate Floor/Door Panels

Good morning. I'm considering installing diamond plate floor and interior door panels on my '94 D-90. Has anyone done this? If yes, is there a company that sells these pre-fab, or is this strictly a custom project? Either way, recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and have a very Merry Christmas!

Chance, I would think most would recommend that you shouldnt do that. If you research the posts on this board you'll find it lowers resale price if you ever do sell. But to your question- I've never seen anyone selling pre cut plates...I belive they are custom.

That's perfect... exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for the help.

More importantly, love the soldier quote. We're a military family here, too.

Merry Christmas!

Forrest- have you had success in contacting American Dirt? I've been trying for over a year to buy some of their other products.

I've call cells (the numbers listed on the site) and sent three emails over the last year and a half. I've never tried so hard to spend money on parts! lol...

diamond plating

I've posted a link below of some guy's here in North Texas that did this to an old Bronco. Those pics are around 18 or 19 on that page. No doubt it would hurt the resale value, and if not done properly could look bad. I would use something fairly thin for the sake of not adding to much weight...

I did mine. I was thinking if rhino lining it or use diamond plate. I went for diamond plate for the following reasons. You can replace it back with the original panels. And it is more durable! I trow in a lot of heavy stuff in the defender and people are always in the back seat with muddy boots, easy to clean and no wear.
Just make sure to put a piece of dyna mat on the back side. to reduce noise reduction.
Here are a view pics.

That look great! Who did you use to do the diamond plating? Do they have pre-fab pieces for D90's that can be shipped, or is it strictly on-site custom?

Like the look for the flooring. What thickness did you use?

I like it. Do you know where I can also get diamond plate door panels?
