Here's my setup. Has USB power and DC power adapters. Lots more spaces for switches. Basically, the shifter gets in the way of everything.

Thanks for the photo. I definitely just want a small, slim mounting device. I found this one but i can't tell if it is the same color (light grey) as the top portion of my dash.

If you can figure out the part number, see if LRDirect has it as they will be 1/3 the price of Roversnorth or Atlantic British.

I assume you know this, but be careful with that grey plastic middle section(LHD) as they are unobtanium...

I do not. Please tell me more. No one makes them? Can you buy ROW dash replacements?

I've done it in a couple of my LR's. Spent $1k on the 71 IIA to eliminate the rattling feeling and was well worth it. Spent the same amount on a 95 RRC SWB that is a parts car now and it made a small difference, but I would say it wasn't worth the time and investment. I do really like the Dynamat under hood insulation for engine noise and you know it's working when snow only melts in the couple of areas you missed. What I also use in my 90'sa and Series trucks is the Exmoor Black Moulded Matting System; Pricey but a quality product and a perfect fit.

I still have the original center console radio location but it is very distracting to have look down there to tune the radio while driving.
