I sold my ARB bumper in favor of building somthing close to what was on the camel discos. The gratification you get from building somthing with your own hands can't be matched. After I get done with this I might build the camel roof rack.

Nick,
That looks really good. What is your plan for a finish on it when you are done? Paint? Powder coat? Rhino liner?

Real nice Nick! if you need any photos/dimensions or info on the Camel Trophy bumper for the Disco let me know. I have one and lots of photos to go along with it.

I will prolly just paint it a semi gloss black. So that it will be easy to repair when I scratch it. I should be finished with it over the weekend and get my winch and lights mounted in it

Thanks! I don't really even know who made them! Maybe a cross between Mantec and brown church? They seem to be a blend of the husky winch tray, stock disco bumper and a brown church brush guard. So I just put all those together into a one piece bumper

The original is actually 4 pieces. Winch plate, brushguard and two 200tdi bumper ends (cut out the middle) but you can use a V8 bumper like I did. It just has the crash cans on the frame horns. the CT bumper has really weak uprights and a terribly low bar on the bottom that was there to hit before your steering hit, but its really too low.

The winch plate is really neat as it fits up under the radiator and hooks in on the back side. You can run that alone which is cool. I'll see if I can find some photos. the only thing I didn't like about it is it was cut for the Superwinch Husky which is a great winch and I own a handful of them, but it would be nice to fab up one that held a 10x4.5 bolt pattern for all other standard winches.

I cut the plate for an everyday winch. I'll still be running my warn that was on my arb with synthetic line. This bumper is still gobs lighter than that bulky arb.

How can we convince you to build CT brush guards for defenders?
