Jeff suggested using a factor 55 winch lock bolt for security. So I got two of them.

The only pain was that warn has a large slot for the square nuts. This didn't work for the 3/8-16 factor 55 bolt.

So I used some steel bar stock that I had lying around, cut and ground it down for a perfect fit, then drilled and tapped it. I wanted all four nuts to match, so I made four of them.

And finally, everything was as close to the body as possible, with only a10mm clearance. Just a small trim job to the stock grille and it all fell into place...
Very nice.

Thanks again guys for all the comments. This would not have been possible without all your help.

I used superwinch branded quick connectors (Anderson power pole type, genderless) for the winch. I brought the connectors right to the tray and I made the below from another set of connectors. Now I can jump cars quickly (or get one myself) with the winch power line. The kit (pair of connectors, lugs, and covers) is only $35.00

Or just connect both ends of the jumper cable connectors for traditional use.

Stick..wrong end of.....

Humour and quite the contrary...Inmate as in Madhouse Inmate.

In forums such as these we discuss the size of nuts and bolts.....we take photos of our LR's and post them...we give our LR's names and buy them presents.....I'd say if any of us showed our wives half of the threads they'd just look at us blankly, shake their heads and walk off mumbling something incoherent. That's a certificate in itself.

When I had a Anderson set up on my disco- now on my Kubota-, I sealed the back sides of the connectors with rtv to keep mud/muck/sand and forest floor slime out of the connector, and coated the contacts with dielectric grease. Disconnecting and reconnecting would usually clean away corrosion, but for me, I thought it was a good peace of mind to cut down corrosion/resistance.
