Carling Contura II switches

I'm switching over to carling switches and will use the mud pod on top, to clear space in the middle to mount some other stuff (like my xplore tablet).

Can you guys recommend a carling vendor that has a complete (or close to complete) selection of carling switches?

I've been searching endlessly and yes, I do find them, but every vendor seems to carry a few of one kind or another of the carling's. It would be just good to see what's available in color, pre-printed, etc.

thanks all

Mud Stuff UK is where I have gotten most of my Carling switches. As far as I am aware, they are the only vendor for a Carling hazard switch that works with D90s.

For color you are limited, but it is easy to pop the actuators off and switch them to red (the route I went). You are going to be hard pressed to find pre printed actuators.... just go with blank and then purchase Mud's white on clear labels. I have them, they are great and do not come off.

Yeah boring stuff like wiring diagrams to. But who can resist custom lazer cut beer or Zombie switches?
I went with Contura V switches.

I'm starting to look for switches. But am having trouble finding what I need. That is, I find ONE... I need five. I'd LIKE to have them labeled, but I don't want it to end up looking like a teen-ager's Honda... you know?

Do I need to just go from place to place and order piece-meal?

What is diff between dependent and independent?

I mean... I know... I just...

Which one will be lighted when the switch is off, as well as when it is on? I believe all my switches will be simple on/off.

They don't have printed rockers and have limited light colours and wiring choices. Otrattw has it all.

Independent means you have a separate terminal to power the light or lights. You choose how the light turns on. Dependent means it is internally wired to the normal output terminal.

On my switches, I connect the upper light to the dash light circuit and the lower to be powered by the circuit.

Careful on light colour choices to not fight the lense colour. If you get opposing colours, they cancel and you get very little light.

Agreed, if they have it in stock. I ordered all mine from Digi-key because Otrattw was out of stock of what I needed.

I have to say that the large pile of Carling switches I got from lucky8 with great results and timely. If I needed more I would go their first.

OK, I give up, I've been Googled on this one. What's the difference between SPST on/off and DPST on/off? I'm seriously drawing a blank and I figure it's an easy answer, but.... All I can think of by just imagining is Single Pole Standard Terminal...?

Looking to replace all Rover switches on the dash, except for rear defrost and hazard as those must stay in position till I figure a way to naturally blank out that space.
