Another Another 1/10 Scale RC Truck Build - 110!

My last build will be a copy of the 110 Safari HP is building for me.

First up is cutting up the 90 body and building 2nd row doors and filler body panels.

We pulled the donor truck in to the shop. It's had a hard life, but it will live on as a 110.

And here is the 110 body in primer. Still more bodywork to do.

Making slow progress. Pulled the interior out of the donor truck and started grafting it to the other 90 interior. I decided to build traditional fender wells, but based on the narrower frame the inner rear fenders ended up pretty wide. I even had to retrofit middle row door cards.

Next the 90 frame was chopped and stretched. Even though the frame is plenty strong, I plan on filling in the gaps. Once test fitting is done the frame will be "galvanized."

The body was shot with the correct Arles Blue paint and test fit in the frame.

Finally, I fabricated some 5-bar wing top and hood protection.

Next up, back to the frame...

The frame is back from the "galvanizer" and everything got bolted back together.

Check out the scale Freestyle wheels! Sorry, no boosts.

Last pic is the body sitting on the frame.

After a quick test spin I already need a faster motor - the truck is way too slow.

That's my favorite sticker. I got lots of comments on it when it was on my truck. Found it on eBay, but the guy isn't selling them anymore..

I am sure there are a few guys on the forum that can replicate them.

Pretty much have this project finished. LEDs and ARB winch bumper installed, winch with synthetic line, and the steering guard. Just waiting on some scale stickers for the finishing touch.
