Overkill for a daily driver and Forest Service road cruiser. And I dont like the weight and overhang of a winch and winch bumper as well as the wear it gets doing winch duty once in a blue moon. I about bought another winch, but decided Id rather get one on a multi-mount so I can use it out back or in multiple trucks. We use atvs and dedicated hunting trucks parked at the ranch and cabin for technical stuff and deep snow while hunting.

Custom rear upper seat belt brackets arrived from SafariHP.

These will allow me to run the seat belts for the Exmoor Lock and Folds AND keep the interior plastic trim.

Stuff is 1/4 to almost 1/2 inch thick. Much stouter than I anticipated, hopefully it is as durable as it looks. I will obviously need to cut out the seat box openings.

Trucklite Phase 7s arrived today from DiscountFleetWarehouse. $338 delivered, not too shabby considering the reviews these have. I'll be mounting them with the IPF ARB harness.

My only concern is with the lens. The box says it "protects against damage from deflecting rocks and roadside debris" and stays clear, non yellowing, impact resistant. Wonder if I should put a clear 3M type film over it?

And for those not reading the 10k other headlamp threads, I chose these over the JW Speakers because they offered nearly the same if not same performance for half the price. I also didn't like the bug-eyed look of the JW Speakers on the boxy Defender due to the projectors.

So I am realizing that this ARB loom may not be long enough to reach to the battery box nor would the relays fit through any of the existing holes. I guess my only option is to lengthen it or hack into a power source in the engine compartment. What is the preferred method and how did you accomplish this?

So I just found out It takes all of 30 minutes to install the Trucklites. They plug directly into the factory plug, so Ill probably get rid of the ARB harness as there shouldn't be a big enough draw with these LEDs to burn out the switch.

Light difference, especially on high beam and the deer/pedestrian zone is astounding. Low beam is much better than stock, but not as overwhelming as I had hoped. But I am probably jaded by the Bi-Xenon systems on the other vehicles Ive had.

Do you have a link to where you purchased? Having a hard time finding them as cheap!

When checking out, use the code "hdled5" for a 5% discount. Should also be free shipping and unless you live in Georgia, tax free as well.

Thinking of going with these Entreq Security Bonnet Hinges with SS hardware. Not too concerned about security, but as Im replacing the hardware, "might as well." Think I'll go with satin black.

Before and after with the Trucklites. Waiting on the marker and turn indicator led lights to paint the headlamp surrounds and install the new grill.

Ive had one, which inspired me to go to a more sturdy one. I have a local shop commissioned to fab one up per the other thread. I'll post up the results.

I did, but had one shipped to me within the last month. I appreciate you thinking of it.

I guess this is not an issue anymore, since it appears you have decided against using it, but you can go right to the Alternator Output stud for the headlamp harness power source, and the alternator mount/case for the ground..

Been a bit busy...I owe some folks a few things and vice versa.

Since last update, did a lot of late night repairs for regular maintenance items that Ive neglected. Cosmetically, installed new front end. Waiting on new LED signals and clear LED markers. Also to go on are QT diff guards, HD steering, and Land Rover lettering on bonnet in sparkle gray from a LR3.
