Looking good! That could be your driving position if you played center in the NBA. And good brew choice! One of my fav's!

A little more progress. We Completed all interior installation, a few little mods and a major cleaning. Body shop think the work will be done this week.

It can be a DIY. Just grab a mask and break out the sander. Don't peel anything! Ask me why I know :-)

Once it's sanded down, shellack the snot out of it and smile at your success. And it's not a bad job at all, but they do make a peel and press lam if you're looking for cheap and simple. It's a bit plastic, but it worked on one of mine.

Starting my 95 RRC refresh

Check w/ your local woodworking supply, they should know someone capable, local to you. There's a place in the UK, but they're pricey, and I don't know the quality or their timeframes. I have a spare that I'm going to redo myself, but that's low priority for me.

You may want to watch this Wheeler Dealer episode on reveneering, jump to 12:53

Here's a place in CA,

I've been looking at Madera Concepts for a while, if you go that route I would like to know how they do or send another piece with yours if it wouldn't affect the time.

I've used Madera Concepts before for one of my '95s and I really liked the finished product.

Do you send them your old slope and they refurb it - or do they stock replacements?

Nashville area folks. Headed to wooly's early sat if interested. At least one other Rover owner going with me and we are bringing the kids. Should be fun. Let me know if interested and we can link up.

Looks like I will have her back next week. He is doing final wet sand and polish now and then she is mine - finally.

One bummer, looks like my wiper arm caps broke when his guy took the truck apart. Those will make a huge difference in final appearance so need to track a set down. Any leads? Anyone know if there are alternative options to the plastic ones that are original?

I would check with Paul Grant for used and I think Congleton offers a 3D printed version.

It seems all the plastic bits are brittle after 20+ years, especially the ones exposed to sun. I'm almost at the point that if it's plastic, i won't touch it for fear of breaking it. 3D printing may be our best bet. The Congleton covers seem to have gone up a bit in price, but the finish doesn't look much better. I wonder if Belgian has these bits on his radar? I still have one that's mostly intact, I should probably have him scan it...

I need a set too. I was going to order the Congleton ones but $50 seemed steep given the rough finish.

Exactly! Last time I saw them on fleabay, I swear they were asking half that price. Still too high considering how rough they looked.

They're $14.99 on their website... But they want $14 to ship them priority mail.
