Too bad the same guy doesn't own this one:

At least I'll be able to get a photo of them together, as #312 is coming back for more upgrades.

Damn thats neat. Are those 83/84 110 second row doors or did you make them like on your 130 beach runner ?

They are 83/84 middle door tops (NOS units we found) and then we make the lower doors here (as I was never able to find new ones). Front doors are stock NAS D90 ST pieces.

Outstanding. Love what you do with these outside the box projects. Making doors is a very cool skill set.

Its OK to do now, but making all the bucks so that the door handle pocket and such would have the correct rounded edges and stuff sucked donkey balls.

Did you know each door has to have a different buck just for the handle pocket!
There is a LH and a RH obviously, but front and middle doors have a different opening. Its nutz.

Wait until you see the next Beach Runner, #6.
It is also a 130, but will have normal length doors and a longer rear cargo area.

I'm sure, that's why I have such a deep appreciation. Gustavo just posted a pair of 85 lift up/ roll up doors in the for sale section that I rebuilt and I feel for what it must take to make these from scratch.

Thanks!

I'm going to build a set like that for my 110 (roll up doors with pocket handle). I'm sick of having ice and snow freezing my door handle button down at the worst possible times during the winter.

Nope.
#312 (Td5 Willow Green 110) was finished and then shipped to the customer in TN in March of 2010.

Man, I wish you would fess up and finally tell the truth. All that stuff was purchased right off the shelf at NAPA.

was in TN (can't recall exactly where). Owner we built the truck for sold the truck through Copley:

http://www.copleymotorcars.com/nas_d...3.1vo1851.html

...and the new owner has it on the way back to ECR for changes. Then it will be off to CO (Aspen) once we set it up for him.
