It's amazing how a comment like I am mounting a Guinness bottle opener on my truck can make a thread go sideways. Sorry Goose! More pics of the truck please. I finished mine today, just need some better weather for the pics.

The R&R mostly me ( with the help of Doug, the front wing was removed, and tomorrow he will help me put the Wing, rear panels and Doors.

The Paintwork was done by The Toy Store, I did some of the prep work and their guidance on things that I have ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE

Will do.

Hopefully tomorrow all the panels will be hanged, then the tidy details, but not more than a day's work

Wow- glad you went with that shade of white for the top & wheels. I was pushing for Limestone but this looks much better (as you said it would!). I thought a Series II and a D90 would be enough Rovers for me- but this project has got me thinking about a TDI 110...good thing I'm out of garage space or my retirement fund would be even less than it is now! Keep up the good work!

Awesome Gustavo, nice work. But that's not a tan - more like a makeover!

Gustavo,

Looking to respray my 110 too. Mine is also Trident green but thinking old school Bronze Green. How much is the Toy Store charging you to respray it? Just curious.

I like the name ORCA.... so like a boat, will have to christened with a bottle of Bubbly [/QUOTE]

I had a boat named ORCA... We sank 30 miles offshore while shark fishing (no joke) like the movie. Name it something else!

Well, that is a TRICK question.

How do you want it done, as it it will dictate their cost.
I mean, are you bringing the 110 stripped down? you want them to do it?
Let me know and I ask them or put you in contact with them.

Gustavo

I am looking to do it myself. Just wondering about a ballpark figure if I had it professionally resprayed to see if I am really saving any money. Not a big deal.

If you bring it stripped down probably $4,500.00
I know materials ( Paint, Reducer, Hardener, Clear Coats - 2 kinds - , primer, tape, paper, sand paper, miscellaneous BS ) were close to $ 1,800.

So by doing the paint yourself maybe save $ 2,500.00

I can't seem to find them for a 110. At least I can't find any reference to them even being made.

I'll let the G man pipe in if he wants as it's out of my realm, but will remind you that before your buddy Google showed up on the scene, Mr, Bell would have been the solution (IE call Justin and ask).

I think it looks like an Orca, but I'd just call it Shamu.

Looks good BTW!
