BMW v12 in a rrc chassis with a 109 body. Sound like a cool project.
I'd drive over the mountain and help you with that.

Yup. It's awesome. Much more professional job than it was in my truck.

Awesome. I'm hopefully going to get the 109 in the first couple weeks of August. Going to begin tearing down the RRC in the meantime. Goal is to get the frame bare, then strip the 109 off the frame, compare placement of body mounts and make appropriate mods, then set the drivetrain in and go from there.

I know I'm in over my head, but I need something new to focus on. BMWs have gotten boring.

I have a bare lwb chassis @ Commonwealth Galvanizing now. You are welcome to take any measurements you need from that, might be easier since its bare. Also should have the fork lift here shortly and if you wanted to trailer your heap over we could lift the body off in mins.

Picked up the 109 today.

....and I think slipped a sleeve in the D2.

Three weeks ago I got a 1989 750iL, so if I decide to part it, That's the donor for the 109 powerplant.

No surprise why it's dog slow.

The 2.8i D90 and 110 had a 1.66 transfer case ratio stock, plus you put 33's on it.

I put a 1.4 ratio transfer case in my D90 and I hated it.

With the 1.66 ratios back in it's like the little quad bike it used to be, point and squirt
