Very nice indeed, gotta love shiney things. I must admit when I picked up a new galvanised chassis for my 90 I just looked at it for a while. New galv is a thing of beauty.

Oh man that looks awesome. It must be a rover thing, to drool over galvanized bits.

I was driving down I-287 the other day when I noticed they replaced some guard rails with new galvanized bits and I found myself drooling!

Re-build of B777 ONR colour

Could any body with a good eye for paint colour tell the shades of my 90 of many coats,

I will need to get the newly galvanized bulkhead painted. I am one of many that see's green and red differently.

I am thinking what I need is portafino?

I do not want a bright red as this will make the 90 look to farst LOL

Thanks

Re-build of B777ONR

Need to ask of antbody that has re-built a bulkhead, what did you use for a gasket behind the steering column support? the part# is MUC7000. What was on it before was a sticky foam type stuff.

Was thinking maybe neoprene, as this will not soak up any water

Also a few snaps of the colour going on. Look GOOD if I say so myself.

tub repair

If ride has become more bouncy of late before you write off your shocks, check the two chassis to body mounts one each side. These could be corroded out if any white dust is found you got it.

I made up six plates three for each side rear, front and a spacer. used body adhesive and riveted all up. I made these bigger than need be. But the Marine Engineer in me always over engineers things.

I am also using that pastic-dip in a spray can to coat all metal to alloy parts, should keep the dust bug at bay, I am hoping to get another 30 years out of old girl.

1.6mm or 1/16" ally, 3/16" rivets and band saw and a good old file, a couple of hours work and the tub isn't sitting on the seat belt brackets rocking away.

Thanks guys, just bled the clutch. I am still the tube and container type of guy, did try the vaccum thing but the tube is better and faster. even more so with the td5 clutch peddle box, push the peddle down and stays down giving you time to close the bleed Vv. And saves from shout at her indoors for lifting the peddle to soon. You know the routine.

windscreen seal

I just got a new windscreen frame to bulkhead seal as I wanted to get this done today, but the one I just received is part#LR016690 which supercedes all past seal#'s.

The old one is thick rubber about 1 1/2" wide, new one is thin 1/4 to 1/3" thick foam and an inch wide.

Has anybody used this new type? does it work?

Thanks
