Also I think you need to move the spare tire higher if you are coming to Moab. You will drag that thing if you plan to climb some steep stuff.

Dude, I love it. I like the series front light surrounds and no plastic. It looks tough as hell..

a nice touch but i think that it would be ideal with those and the 94 style signals. IMHO a nice machine none the less

Funny......I do this ALL BY MYSELF (well...me and the lift) and it seems so easy. Must be 'cause I don't take so many fawkin' pictures.

Nice write up. I need to get out more.

The tank breaths again.. Finally had time to get it back on the road yesterday after motor failure on the way to MAR last year. Ended up cracking a valve which scored the #4 cylinder and destroying the head.
I ended up taking the engine out, stripping it down to a short block and having it bored .030 to clean up the damage and even though it only had 11k on it, we installed new bearings. Then I put the engine back together with all new gaskets and timing belt. Next came a new complete cylinder head to complete the engine build.
While it was still apart, I figured why not throw some more cash to the wind and install a custom aluminum Rad/intercooler setup with frame from Allisport.
Yesterday I installed my new bonnet latch and horn before buttoning things up.
So after sitting in pieces for 9 months and having the injectors and IP in a plastic bag on my shelf, I hooked up the fuel lines, primed the fuel pump about 10 times to get the bubbles out of the filter and turned the key. Started right up and settled down in less then a minute.
With the new intercooler I also turned the fueling up a 1/4 turn on the plunger and she runs like a champ once again.

Wow, that is some thread resurrection. I somehow didn't realize/remember you had an engine failure. Man that sux.

I've got over 100k on the tdi I put in, but the transfer case did eat itself and take the transmission with it.

Anyhow, that is one pretty rad/inter cooler setup. Looking forward to see what you'll come up with for the bodywork.

Yeah I had a motor melt down. Dropped a valve and destroyed a cylinder. Fixed it up better than new though
