New project

Hello, I have an 87 defender 90 LHD that I bought in Italy. I have collected a galvy chassis, 300 TDI, Auto box, 2012 axles and a puma dash and bulkhead. I've built a few cars when I was younger, a few motorcycles and a couple boats. Seems like all I've been doing for the past 15 years is working so, Im going to go lay down in the garage for a year or so and hopefully come out with something that I like. I could use some advice on where to buy parts locally for some of the newer portions of the project. Im in southern California and wondered if there's a group or club of do it yourself defender owners around here. Id like to glean some information on how to set up the suspension also since that will be the first thing I do to my new chassis. Thanks, Bill

I think I've seen your truck if it's the blue and white one at the rover doctor in irvine. I talked to the mechanic there and left him my card for you. I'm working at Kia of Irvine across the street. I'd like to talk to you if you have time.
