Ha! Those tight-ass trails! Make sure you have brakes in order. I was using all 5 last year getting off these Boggs-Sleds.

Working lower radiator mounts. Removing just the risers on the rad frame would not yield enough drop. I left them alone and cut 1 inch off the 110s frame brackets. Will reweld tonight.

R380 from ashcroft cleared customs yesterday and just finished sorting at NYC airpot. Should be here in a few days. About ready for it.

Added male fitting on back of intake manifold for boost gauge. Will read actual manifold pressure and be a cleaner route to gauge.

I wonder how long you will be able to last until you replace the other two gauges.

First time out after dark and you will not be able to resist.

Gearbox mated, linkage on. New bearings, races, cross drilled input gears, output bearing, seals in transfer case. Should have all mated tonight. Then it gets threaded into place as one.

I want to underscore what Red90 mentioned above re head gasket.

I think I made the mistake of using a genuine gasket. At the time I thought I had done my due diligence and went with genuine. I can't remember exactly why at this point.

To be honest there are a good number of different choices and decisions to make in this process and if you're new to this level of backyard mechanics it gets a bit sideways at times.

Anyway, the genuine looks like it is a bust as it looks like I'm leaking oil at the right front corner. After a simple Google search of 200tdi head gasket oil leak, there's plenty of discussion re this issue.

Hopefully the next guy doesn't make the same mistake.

That's the hill I was talking about

For those doing this swap and dropping the drivetrain in as one. Definitely remove the RHD engine and frame transfer case mount. This allowed much smaller the new room. And at least a two person job. Would have been easier without the gear selector turrets installed. But I didn't remove any flooring so wanted Linkage right before dropping in.

So close I can smell the diesel fumes. If you see something not right let me know I was doing some stuff from memory like fuel line. Will double check.
