Defender 130 expedition build..

So, I've been thinking about doing this sort of build for a while and now it begins.. I bought a 2006 defender 130 with the td5 motor and had it shipped over temporary to be repaired/altered and shipped back out of the country upon completion.. This truck had to be bonded in order to get it in..alot of paperwork and prior authorizations from DOT and EPA..
First let me say.. The td5 motor is a lot better than the 200 and 300 tdi motors in the way of drive ability and power...and this was not really pushing flat out.. And no..it wasn't downhill..

So here she is in all her glory on the trip back down..

Or he is going to be part of a public service campaign regarding two handed photography while driving and the deaths and maiming it causes to the innocent surrounding drivers.

The iPhone 6 camera button also works on voice command.. Or with your tongue..And that was taken on a closed course by a professional driver...don't try this at home..

Those Td5's are freaking sweet, huh? Almost makes you forget you're in a Defender.

So what's the plan?

Well Shane , you are finally going to do it . So now I don't have to listen to when I get a 130 this or 130 that . Travel lighter with this one , I'm looking forward to watching this unfold . How long can it stay in the states ?

I intentionally bought one with the utility box on it.. I intend to do a pop top roof setup on it... It was a bitch getting out of the roof top tent in the snow and heavy rain... And even more of a bitch putting the roof top tent away in that weather..frozen canvas doesn't fold too well with frozen fingers... This would also allow us to cook and eat inside in nasty weather also..

No problem mark... I would love to have the rear bed and be able to change it back and forth between the 2 but the plans I have for the rear winch and some other mods will make that impossible.. I'll just have to buy another 130 pickup..

Only if you are talking to Siri...she's a sucker for an Aussie accent....actually most women are..oh, and it makes goose and Pedro horny also..
