Please don't use fiberglass or plastic exterior parts.

I suppose I should have been more specific: does anyone know of a MANUFACTURER of fibreglas, plastic, or even alumunum LR body panels? if not, why not? Seems to me a mould could be made from original wings, tubs or bonnet, and a market must exist, based on the beat-up panels body observed at MAR.
If you kiss a tree with aluminum it dents-plastic and fG will crack or deform, so what difference does it make what material if it needs replacing?

The difference comes when you don't kiss a tree. Aluminum is cheap and easy to come by, why encourage the use of parts

UV, Oxygen, heat and cold cycling will turn fiberglass and plastic into mush in time. Aluminum stays aluminum for decades.

See: NAS convertible hard-top roofs, Flat Dog fiberglass puma bonnet, ABS plastic wings, AMA GRP Fabrications doors.

A lot of effort, not much benefit. Sorry - no benefit. Not weight, not cost, nothing.

Cost and availability .....

With the bolt on - bolt off nature of our trucks, I really hoped for more after market body parts availability. I guess the market is too small.

Oh - and my truck may be one of those seen at the MAR without a straight panel.
