Made a start on some brackets, here is the one to mount the Megasquirt ECU on the seatbox top between the seats behind the auto shifter. Will make a full centre console after the dash is finished to hold the locker, winch & other switches.

The brackets very basic for seasoned Solidworks users but using the sheet metal options makes things so much quicker & easier than using 2D ACad

Few bits done to the cage, added light bar tabs & a protection bar to the top of the cage.

More light bar & limb riser tabs to front of the tube fenders.

Been a while since last posting here as been working on the GM Gen III install.

http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...ad.php?t=52933

Picked up a pair of Rugged Ridge seats to replace the Qt Services F/G comp seat I had and give the passenger some where to sit :

Decided to reuse the Qt removable seat base from the F/G bucket seat to make the new ones easily removable for servicing :

Drew up some adaptors with spacers to mount the seat to the removable base :

Should make for a neat install. The seats are a great fit for the truck cab as their bases aren't too thick (sprung too) and they are covered in a heavy duty textured vinyl for long life

Decided to do away with the Qt parts of the seat mount & have drawn up some lower brackets & spacers to reuse the parts I'd already got cut. It lowers the seat by about an inch & still leaves them easily removable for cleaning. Top half locates in the key slots with a locking bar through the front holes.

Simple & effective

Did a few changes to the seat mounts & got them finished off :

Very happy with the result, easy to remove and feel solid when locked into place.

Those seat bases quick release design is slick! Once I get my truck done I am going to redo mine more like this. Thanks for the idea!

Major milestone reached.....

Good clearance to the front x-member too, so that won't need to be reworked.

Well pleased

Waiting on parts again.... so, I drew up the ECU/fusebox mount that'll sit on the bulkhead where the RHD heater was.

Fitted the hydro-assist pipework, bit close to the crank pulley but should be ok, a different 'T' would make it better but that one came with the kit.

I see what you mean by the T fitting. For the time being could you ziptie to the other hose? Would thing when the truck is moving the engine would just enough to rub the line or the line bounce around to touch the pulley wheel?

When I did the hydro assist on my RRC I just removed that round plate off of the front of the box and put the pipe fitting there. That way I was able to drill and tap it without getting any metal into the box.

I think swapping the tee to one of these will work fine, just need to confirm the threads as they measure out at 1/4" JIC.
