I have not tried to price stuff out but I am guessing you are better off just going with a stock setup and add a mud console or something.

I already have the VA A/C unit, am mounting a B&M Hitec cooler where the heater box used to be for the engine oil....

This is going to be a trail truck so I want all the switches close to me as I don't like having to reach when strapped into the seat. Will make the dash out of 16awg steel sheet so I can weld it up myself.... then get it crinkle finish powder coated.

Finished off the front wings & had the centre section of the cage blasted to remove the old powder coating, added some additional top corner tubes, last few triangulation tubes to be added to the front screen hoop next.

Tacked in the corner braces & think I'll add an inverted 'V' into the front hoop on tabs. the base is 8" wide.... look ok ?

Have also gone back to my old FG bucket seat, the suspension seats were just too tall in the seat base and made entry/exit more difficult.

With all that mild steel fabrication, has there ever been a point during the build where you have considered that once completed and proven that it would be worth tearing down and hot dip galvanising rather than paint?

Right proper job

x2 on the galvy.

An inverted V would certainly make it stronger. A baby gusset on the top front corner of the doors would also strengthen it, but it looks pretty beefy to me already (not that I know anything about cage strength )

It looks great BTW.

Is that Seat box custom made or just wrapped in plate?

Closest galv shop is in Vancouver/Calgary... that's a 12hr round trip for us either way.... powder coaters are only 2hrs away... it'll get painted.

It's wrapped (riveted & bonded) in tread plate as I cut out the battery box for a second fuel tank. Was fairly battered as the truck was ex-mil so it stiffened it all up & hid the dints.

Finally got the winterizing all done... 2 cords of fire wood in, house & garden tidied & packed up for winter... snow's on the mountains, so back at the D100. Got the trans cooler & rear load light brackets tacked in. Next to finish off the tabs for the rear tub skins & then it can be powder coated.

Not a lot of progress these past weeks, but did pick up the new Allisport alum rad whilst I was back in the UK... saved a bunch on tax & shipping

Bosses on the front are to mount an a/c condenser at a later date & now need to order a pair of SPAL fans for the shroud.
