Awesome sushi! I recently had the best spicy tuna roll I've ever had.

The suspension that came with the truck wasn't going to hold to all the expedition and recovery gear I plan on carrying, so I upgraded the springs to HD versions.

And as an example of how ridiculous this hobby is, here is my synthetic winch line, Viking safety thimble, and hawse.

I love the stretched wheelbase! You don't think those tires will rub on the fender wells? That's some hot wheeling!

Sadly the D90 bodies are not an exact wheelbase match, it's more of a 100" wheelbase chassis the body is on. Some guys move the rear axle forward, but it's more trouble than it's worth. The axles actually bottom out before contacting the fenders. I do have some extended flares just in case.

I've made a lot of recent progress on it and will post pics shortly.

I feel like such a dork...

Here are a few update pics. I finished getting the roof rack set up and the figures painted.

Now just waiting on the Arles Blue paint to show up.

Thankfully I got the truck bolted together in time for the Japan Overland Trophy (JOT). Here are a few pics from the grueling challenge. We did roll the truck backwards going up Couch Cushion Ridge, but some quick winching got us going again. Overall it was a great first wheeling event.

Now we just need some Arles Blue paint and the lights wired up! Oh yeah, and install a snorkel too.

Trimmed the fenders and installed the extended flares.

Also wired up the LED lights and took it for a spin in the woods.

Still waiting on paint so I can finish the all the windows and trim, and I need to trim the front frame down to bring the winch closer to the grill.

Here it is! I decided to try out a flat Arles Blue, although the color (from Tower Paint) is a bit dark.

Amazing! How slow can it crawl? That's always been my issue with R/C trucks, I want them to go 0.01 MPH up and over rocks.

I can crawl as slow as I want. It's got an awesome crawler motor, speed control, and gearing. The Axial kit is built for crawling.

I'll post some video shortly.
