D1 to D90

It's taken a while to get going but finally there is progress on my project to recycle the mechanical bones of my 95 D1 into a D90.
Now have rolling galvy chassis with drivetrain. A galvy bulkhead is painted and ready to bolt on.
Once I've bolted up the Pintle and receiver plus fuel tank the freshly painted rear tub can go on to.
Next up adapting a seat box to clear the lt230 and removing rust from that before refinishing and mounting.
Might start to look recognizable soon!

Thank you Dale for driving up to Massachusetts with body panels. I'm sure your 'Burb will do more Mpg without the 90 roof on top. Already rubbed down the doors and side panels in prep for a coat of primer ahead of repainting.

A few more licks of paint, some rivets and bolts and I might have something that looks familiar!

Slow process this......Amazing how much time to takes to assemble parts from various trucks together. Its not so much cut and paste, more figure it out and keep moving. Adding to todays fun was the arrival of steering column etc from Safari HP. Thanks guys.

Front doors went on today. A little adjusting necessary. Funny how easy it is on these trucks....

Sometimes these things are really frustrating. Kudos to YRM for their sill rails. Fit perfectly out of the box.
but intensely annoyed that the one of the front doors Ashtree was not properly drilled for the door lock. The key holes us a quarter of the inch out.
