They bought that several years ago and still haven't finished it....sounds like Nigel, my truck. Actually I kinda like that. Blast, repair and Galvy the chassis and you'll have a decent truck. My only question is where is the sahara's bukhead?

I really like the look with 2 NAS sized lights on the front. Way better than the single large single small light.

I think the idea is to use this as a "slip on cover" replacing all the outside body panels of a Disco - not to replace anything else i.e. bulkhead - dash electrics etc etc....

Went out for a brief drive today. First brief drive resulted in some tranny fluid on the ground. The line had been knicked when being shortened.. Second longer drive after fixing that and warming the truck up realized that we really can't run without the fan shroud or at least drive in traffic or off road. It got a little toasty.
Also it may be four years since the truck ran but you could smell the mud as it burnt off....

That level of rebuild and there's still mud on it? Lol, sounds like something I would do...

It just didn't register as one of those have to do things. I call it muffler aromatic patina.
Waiting for a couple of extra bits from RovahFarm arriving Friday), which are needed before heading off to get a sticker.

Fan shroud causing issues. The old v belt v serp differences.
In process of fixing I hope. If OEM fails then we'll start shaping aluminium to do the job.

Let's see: adjusted privacy settings do defendersource can take photos. Think it worked. Photo taken after we realized timing was off and needed adjusting.

Went out for a drive today in him (?) after making sure that there was at least one gas station around here open! Gas gauge is pretty accurate I think. Pissing down with rain thanks to Hurricane Arthur.
Think I know that feeling that people who use online dating must get when they get to the restaurant or bar that they arranged to meet at.
All excited but yet you find yourself looking for the zits.
Getting to know Nigel is very much part of the developing relationship!

Building miles. Important to do this carefully to ensure everything settles back in to working order after several years of doing nothing. Accelerates well. Brakes well. Plenty of details though to sweat.

Tweaked the speed sensor wiring so the Autometer speedo works. Added steering column shroud and self canceling ring.

Capped the holes between the cabin and engine. Massive change in the amount of heat coming into the cabin!!!
Added rubber plugs to fill many of the holes left in the tub and when I removed the tire carrier off the rear door. Going to rivet plates over the rollcage holes for now.
Nigel will get his first taste of off roading this weekend.
