He says not yet. He seems torn on keeping it all original 83 or modernizing it, besides this is Bill's thread.

Oh yeah. I checked the flipped turbo thing and I believe it will work out wonderfully. The plumbing needs some modification. The exhaust down pipe will also need a custom solution but neither of those is too bothersome.

Do you have window shades, baseboard trim and contrasting wall/ceiling paint in your garage, or do you usually load trailers in the living room?

Anti Roll (sway) bars yes or no?

While I still have the chassis upside down, I was wondering if it would be worth while to install mounts for anti roll bars. Would it benefit other than making it corner on the road a little flatter? Assuming I drive knowing that it might wallow a bit, any reason to go to the trouble or should I just go ahead and flip the chassis? Yes it could be done later on, but right now it's so good to work on it.
BTW 6 bald eagles spotted today. Two in my yard yesterday morning, one this morning.

Next question. It looks like I will be fabbing a new tank from glass/epoxy. The old tank is slightly offset to the right I suppose to account for either the PTO shaft or maybe the exhaust pipe. I think I'll add a little more width/capacity to the tank. Has anyone ever made a tank in a similar manner?

The tank is narrow for the exhaust. I have only seen custom SS tanks. Given the shape of the tank, I would think it would be easist to make out of metal, but what do I know. The other issue is what do you do with the filler pipe.

Well, I have scads of cloth and resin and zero steel. I'm going to replicate it but pooch it just a bit. I can get FRP angle for the supports.

Two things. I have seen factory rear tanks that were sectioned to allow for a pto. and a guy on on G&R is looking to have a shop make up some saddle tanks and I think rear tanks out of aluminum. The more that sign up the less it will be. Saddle tanks will have a slightly different shape to ease production and also looking to produce long range saddle tanks.

Full up it will weigh about 150Lbs, so not super heavy. Pretty sure the 'glass tank will be just fine. I might even put in a baffle inside.
I think I will build it by first laying up two or three layers of cloth in sheet form, and cutting out the shapes from this thin stuff. Then to build the shape I start tabbing it together, fillet the inside joints, glass the fillets, and then just go at it layering it up. It's a box fer crissakes.

The fill tube I can make from FRP tube. 'Bout 12 bux for a 4 foot piece.

Picked up the primer'd door skins and frames from the paint shop. Got them skinned and rivetted.
Will drop them back at paint in the morning, then move on to the other bazillion things to do...
