Bill I have the ac tubing benders that Matt Moran gave me. You are welcome to borrow them if you are going to make up your own lines.

Back from Lelo Fab with new bumper and sliders. Sliders are raw steel so they are in the basement waiting for galvy run.
Pretty darn amazing work.

That has to be the best looking series bumper I've ever seen.

Bumper looks great. 2" receiver in the middle there? Nice work Jeff!

That truck is going to look mint with galvy sliders.

Yesterday I dove up to Manchester (MD) to meet with Don Sambrook about sound abatement. His web site (sounddeadenershowcase.com) has lots of good info on how to go about it, but I wanted to save on shipping and spend some quality time in the 2A.

So I gave Don a small taste of the Land Rover experience. He looked over the truck and we came up with a plan.

I am using two of his products. The closed cell foam and the mass loaded vinyl. Th first is a 1/8 thick foam sheet that goes between the sheet metal and the vinyl barrier. It is held in place with dabs of glue onto the vinyl. The vinyl is in place with velcro tabs. I thought it important to be able to easily remove the stuff for inspection, repairs or cleaning. I didn't want something like bed liner or dynamat on the inside.
Since there aren't many compound curves this stuff will go in like a second skin.

On top of all this noise material will be a layer of Hardura.

Pics to come

Elephant hide a rest on Tuffy console I recovered it and used tee nuts instead of the screws so it's held on with 10-32 machine screws.

Nice - I love when things have T-nuts, welded nuts, or riv-nuts and can use a machine screw. Just seems more elegant.

Header sorted. Covered in elephant hide material with a bit of padding...3/16 or so.
Sun visors attached with aluminum rivnuts.

Thanks. The Zebra material is going to Jonesy for his Series. I personally hate it, but everyone who sees the truck seems to think it really is the shiz. Going to go all elephant hide on my head bolsters.
