Oh my. Now there's a big oil leak coming from the under the starter where there's a drain hole. I hope it is something I can get to easily and not have to pull the bellhousing off.

Ok Charles and I got the trans off and it's definitely the rear seal. Brand new but POS. Going to get the Teflon lip one and be done with it. Anyway.
Just fair warning this is what happens to your truck when Galpin comes to visit:

Hey I'm a good guest and put stuff away where I found them. Pictures don't want to upload so I'll do it later, but let me just say I don't want to see another headliner for a while.

I'm a little confused and apprehensive about the crank shaft seal. In reading others experience some say the Dowty Teflon lip seal is the one to use. Others say the OE one (Corteco or whomever) is best.
The one that was on there came in the kit from Craddocks. It clearly is useless. It's orange color and all rubber or silicone or some crap.
I will try to find the Dowty one I guess.

It's possible you damaged it during the install. I say get the fancy Teflon one with the plastic installation tool and you should be ok.

sure you know this but its less about the color or material and all about the tension of the coil spring inside the lip

Is it adjustable? All I can say about the current deal is that the spring is there. First thing we checked.

x2. I would also recommend putting some Loctite 518 around the perimeter of the seal where it mates with the flywheel housing. Don't rely on just the pre-applied green stuff.
