So today I am going to send off payment for the custom Exmoor interior. Julian has been absolutely spot on with helping me out. He is making a set of covering kits for my early tray back front seats from elephant hide. Also doing a recover kit for the rear full width bench seat also in elephant hide. Then I'm having him ship out a 3 meter roll of Hardura so I can cover the inside of the footwells and the R380/Series tunnel.
Exmoor doesn't advertise that they have all the patterns for the early seats, so if you have this type, you are not SOL.

Also ordered more silicone elbows. Not happy with the turbo plumbing, as it fouls the radiator and the air conditioning hoses.
I also got the A/C condensor mounted up to the radiator frame (love rivnuts) and find it fouls the intercooler bracket. Need to do a little snip snip here, snip snip there..
Lastly, plated the Wingard mirror bolt and dished washer. had to make a new plastic washer out of a carry out soup container lid. Perfect. Now both mirrors assembled with newly plated hardware. Seems the genuine Wingard mirrors are NLA. Shame that.

I think I have the whole plumbing thing worked out at long last. Many hours staring blankly at the entirety of the engine bay have paid off. Fortunate for me ebay has all this silicone and aluminum piping cheap.
Radiator looks like it'll go in OK, and I hope that the 'lectric fan will be enough for low or zero speed work.
Last major item under the bonnet is the heater assembly, something I touched on early on in this thread. I think I have that worked out too. A/C evap and heater core going into one box that tucks up in the wing. Air distribution duct from a Kodiak heater will direct air inside the cabin.

What a relief to hear this, as I am beginning to wonder if all my blank staring are getting me where I need to be

Bill,
that looks fantastic.
Did you just reverse the flow thru the intercooler?
Are you making the metal pipes, or are they off the shelf?

They're ebay bends. Like any plumbing project you have to try at least 4 different ways before you hit on the right one. This version reduces the runs, the number of joints and is much tighter and neater.

Yay radiator all configured with its mountings. AC condenser attached, electric fan installed.
Found a set of oil cooler line adapters I forgot I had, so that was a bonus. Made the hoses from silicone bends. Fit is really good.
Mechs almost done.
Last major system is the exhaust, which I have the pipes.
Oh yeah battery is in and cables run.

Clay helping with the rack install.

Got the engine and rad pretty much buttoned up. Today got seat box finalized with some creative jacking and judicious use of chains.

No worries, Craig still plenty left to do....

Planned on doing the exhaust pipe but went in a slightly different direction; electrics. Too rainy to weld stuff.
So there was a lot of wire rearranged. Grounds redone, bulbs wiggled. Now all working, except haven't done headlamps.

Lectrickery sorted.
Showing gap between R380 tunnel cover and the bulkhead plate. About an inch. I'll just make a piece to bridge the gap. Should be no problem.
