Got the heater box pieces back from powder last week and finally sat down to put it together today with a LHD blower motor and core from Rovers North.

Kind of a lot of work but was good to reuse a piece and I'm really happy how it came out. GSD did a really nice job on the powder.

Got the freshly galvanized inner fenders in this week. Hoping the out fenders can get on this coming week. Lots of wires all over the place but getting close.

A little bling added today on the left side today. Rovers North sliders with tree guards. I still need a couple bolts added but will do the final when the body is on.

Nicely converted to the newer type harness.

There is a LR retrofit engine harness available as well that adapts to the older rubber plug type harnesses.

All I have left for the wiring is:

- Order and install connectors for the rear lights
- wire up speed sender, diff lock, reverse switch, and parking brake switch
- figure out how to get the Merc glow plug relay to talk to the 300tdi harness and wire
- find a distribution block for 60A (thinking something from Blue Sea) for the main brown wires
- wire starter and alternator
- wire last connector that goes to main harness

And once the wiring is dialed I can start swapping body pieces \../

Got the brake booster installed. Just had to weld some M8 nuts and give it a quick squirt of paint and it's good to go.

Just need to name the line that goes out to the rear axle.

What it looks like from the inside. Used button head stainless bolts as I don't want to bother with covers but want it to have a good look.

It looks great. The more pictures I see of your bulkhead, the more I think mine isn't going to look as good. It got a bit beat up at galvy and will need to give it some love. I've decided to paint mine so I guess no big deal.

Thanks! But it must be the light - mine is decent but nothing fancy.

But I want a straight forward/no frills/industrial look with this so I am satisfied with how the galvy looks. I am glad I TIG'd the panels - I feel like things would have moved more if it was just spot welded.

Thanks - I feel like I am starting to see some progress!

Eastern Beaver for the dash/interior ones and 3waycomponents.co.uk for the engine/bulkhead/chassis ones

Got a fender on last night. Actually on then off 3x before I feel like it is close enough - little bit of a gap up on the top - I think the bulkhead moved a bit at some point.
