Actually Werewolf, I don't know why you keep bashing Berkshire, you seem to be cut from the same cloth and are some what of a creepy, snake oil salesman yourself. Just sayin'.

I laughed so hard I woke up the dog; is this clown serious? No one needs a dealers license to sell these cars, no one needs a hack like this moke to title them.

If he's been doing this for 39 years it's safe to say you're not going to talk sense into Mr Magoo (or maybe it's daddy Warbucks with all the chokes that are flying off the shelf)

To be clear, I do not know Mr. Cox and I am not sticking up for him on any account. I, myself, find him lacking a certain amount of decorum in this matter.

But with that being said, I also like to have the facts. It didn't make sense to me that he would be operating the claimed business here in NC without the proper documentation, especially as an licensed importer. So, I double checked the SOS NC website and found "William Eugene Cox" as the registered agent for "MONTE CARLO MINIS LIMITED INC." at "1821 SOUTH POST RD., SHELBY NC 28152". The records in the link below indicate the business to be current on all filings since 1998.

http://www.secretary.state.nc.us/cor...itemId=4587367

Do with this information what you will. I myself looked up Mr. Cox's address on Google Maps. I expected it to be the business' address, but it looks like it is his home's....

I myself don't doubt his legitimacy, I'm sure he has ample experience in his home state importing classic European cars stateside.

I do question the methods in which he has attempted to imply and impose that he is the single authority on this matter on this thread. Not sure what the endgame is other than to alienate all the members on this forum.

That said I wish him luck in his endeavors on this new class of vehicles. Especially for Mike's sake

I wasn't talking about the Club Car rentals. Have you even been to the Reef? The carts get pretty crazy. Maybe not $30k crazy but certainly $20k setups bouncing around. I know they are selling Garia (www.garia.com) down there and I wouldn't be surprised that they have a pricetag as much as (if not more) than a nice Moke.

But Moke and Defender price tags are pathetic when you are talking about Hatteras and Citation CJ's that some people move around on in ORC. I just get to visit from time to time and enjoy the warm weather. If you are down at the Reef selling Mokes during Easter break LMK - I'll buy you a Reef Cup at the Burgee.

don.. was only at ocean reef club to drop mokes all there.I know the guy that run the service station . I prefer to hang out of Alabama Jacks on Card sound rd . as you come into OCC I have seen the boats there at OCC.. $10m is nothing there for boat. or should I say YACHT.. BUT want to see some real yachts. you to go to the Lowes Casino in Monaco ( monte carlo) ... Willh in NC you can have a Lic dealership /shop at your house IF you have 98 sq building that is NOT attached to your house and zoning permit.

Yeah, we take my in laws boat up to Bama Jacks on Sundays and watch the older ladies dance to the live country music. Fun place.

I think the service station keeps a Moke there or services them. I will look next time I am there.

I don't see the point of a massive vessel. Even my in laws boat is a little too much for me. I heard Penske had to fill up his one time at ORC and they were running pumps all night and the price tag could buy a Moke or 2 or maybe a nice Defender If I had eff-u money maybe... but I think I would rather search the world for deep pow, misty singletrack and mellow waves. And help a messed up village or 2 while I was touring.

Monaco sounds way too glitzy for me.

Costas the NYC architect? He's not a billionaire - some of the clients he designs for are though.

Wow just did a quick google search of Bill Cox. Couldn't find anything positive or redeeming in value but the words BEWARE and CROOK were used alot to describe him. He seems to have been banned from other forums as well. This one from back in 2009 was one of my favorites;

For the above: after hanging around the Mini Mania message board for a year while searching for a car, and subsequently reading it since, and meeting a number of people who have bought junk from him, I stand by my warning. I have met only ONE person out of a dozen who did not want to punch him in the nose on sight. He misleads, intentionally, the quality of his cars. One buyer who lives in my own town not only received a car with the wrong size engine (really? It's not a 1275? How did that happen?) the engine was completely worn out. Not at all as advertised. This type of story repeats itself almost religiously. Buyer beware. - See more at: http://classicmotorsports.net/forum/....XoWxFC4t.dpuf

To the moderators I would think Bill Cox is much more than just a simple moron. Quite the opposite in fact.

It's Friday and I'm bored and I feel like feeding the trolls.

Thanks for that clarity bill, because I would otherwise have had no idea what a G4 was!

I love to read (or listen to) people dropping names and money-oriented comments. It usually confirms a lot.

At this point though, I do feel like we (the D-90 members) are all high-fiving eachother for medaling in The Special Olympics.

This is all funny and helps to pass time in my day, but I usually don't that excited about dunking a basketball on my neighbor's kids 8' foot basketball hoop (if you know what I mean).

Just to keep this thread on topic, I had a cheeseburger the other day that was $20 and I realized I think that was the most I've ever paid for a cheeseburger. What is the most anyone here has ever paid for a cheeseburger? Moderators if this is not the correct thread for this, please move.

Bill, enough with the name dropping. It is in poor taste to disclose the names of your clients.
