Any experience with Heritage Vehicle Sales in the UK

Has anyone used Heritage Vehicle Sales to restore a Defender for them? I used them and wanted to know how your experience has been compared to mine

I have worked with several here trying to get satisfaction after they had been "nicked" by Matthew.
To my knowledge he never made good with any of them. Buyer beware.

Matthew refused to let an independent vehicle inspector come do a PPI on a car a forum member here had put a deposit on.

In my hunt for Defenders in Europe I sometimes come across cars which at second look are not so nice. Part of the game and I normally sell these to restauration companies.

Recently I sold two cars in Europe because of serious problems. Didn't want to bring them to
uSA. One having huge rust holes in the main rigger, just before the rear axle. I disclosed this to the buyer together with a shot rear cross member.

Don't know how this car changed hands but it is now on their website and advertised as very good. The rear cross member is only patched, it looks like and painted can only imagine what is done to the main rigger.....

To my opinion rust holes in the main rigger is the end of a frame.

Unfortunately I just see on their website it is sold. Feel bad for the buyer, I have better cars for sale, for less money and state side.

By the way, I really hope it is not you who bought that blue one with wolf wheels.......

I've bought 40+ rovers off mark and I know others that have. Never had single issue.

I do agree Mathew is bad news

No, luckily for me it was a Defender I found and brought to him. Let's just say he screwed us! His work was and is so bad that if I were to go there he would see why Americans bailed them out in WWII. Anyways, the motor was bad and he lied, that's the tip of the ice berg.

Lol. Wasn't bitching, just asked. And your best buddy... another story. I have his emails proving he screwed me. No point in arguing I have his emails, I can post them to prove you wrong and little Robert. Actual his son screwed him.

And yes my wife knows, I make them for fun, and it's an inside joke with her. She came up with it.

I think I did put my big boy pants on and didn't care to respond. Once PayPal does their investigation I can post my position and his emails.

seems like a pretty shitty move on your part...what sucks is that PP has a tendency to side with the buyer, regardless of how much of a asshat that person is

Robert and I were introduced by a mutual friend- Doug Crowther- many years ago, as Robert was selling some military blood fridges, and I needed 2. To say we butted heads is an understatement, but we made the deal, and consummated without issue. However, when we met- to pick up said fridges- Robert could not have been a more gracious host, and we became instant friends. Come to find out he had some serious medical issues at the time, and I was on a too tight schedule, trying to coordinate numerous stops on a 2k mile whirlwind trip. But the 'deal' was never ever compromised! And I saw his shop and attention to detail, as he was in the midst of his MB engine re-power kit- no small under taking!!

Point being- Robert is top notch, and a valuable resource to both novices and well experienced Rover folk! And I dare say honest to a fault! For you to bash him really makes everyone here question your intent, knowledge, and credibility all the way around....

So waveslayer---or should we call you cat slayer??

You've been on this forum since April of this year.
Robert has been here... a long time.

He has a lot of history.
Much of it is good.
There is no crowd of guys here saying he screwed them over..... why is it you're the one he decided to get one over on??

Seems like you have some 'splaining to do on your end.

ps. love the pic....

So Bryan is the below true or false? If false explain how for anyone interested:

"We had a set of 200TDI injectors that were returned by a different buyer who had an IP issue.
I had this set tested and they passed testing at the diesel shop.
This set were for our private use only and NOT for sale as "newly remanufactured".
We made a mistake and sent this same set of injectors to Bryans shop in Vegas who were working on his 200TDI engine.
Bryan pointed out the injectors had smudge marks on them and knew they had been previously installed.
I told Bryan I would send another set and to send the first set back.
Meanwhile, Bryan authorized the shop to install this smudged set that he knew had been used.
The shop in Vegas said the engine smoked after the injectors were installed.
Bryan made no mention of any costs associated with the first set of injectors.
Bryan moved the vehicle to CA.
I sent a new set of injectors to the shop in CA, that were installed and worked fine.

Then another month or so later Bryan returned the original injectors (that we sent by mistake).
When tested, they were clogged with trash that was either introduced when the Vegas Shop installed them or by trash in the fuel.

Even though the original set of injectors were ruined by the Vegas shop and one of Bryan's cores were damaged that will cost $50 to fix, I refunded Bryan's full $500 Core Deposit to be nice and provide something in return for my original mistake when we sent the original injector set.

Bryan now has a good set of reman injectors that he bought from me installed in his 200TDI engine that are working fine and admitted this when we spoke on the phone on 12/13/16."

Bryan is proceeding with a paypal claim to be refunded for the purchase price of the same set of injectors that are in his running engine and working fine.

Again: True or false?

I agree with Robert as being "Top Notch" I have only purchased one item from him so far but he has answered countless emails asking questions and following up on additional things I can add to my purchase from him. I WILL be buying form him in the future. Great transaction and seller.
Too bad everyone out in Roverland isn't the same. I hope the issue is resolved quickly and to everyone's satisfaction.

This does suck and I hope it gets resolved. I will say ebay is typically always on the buyers side but it's normally for the following:
Is the item genuine?
Did it get shipped with a tracking number?
Was it as described. Being the buyer saw the issue and you sent a replacement, logic would be he would not get a refund but who knows with ebay.

I still want this guy to post the emails.
